Trees vs Walking Path Just Because of Grant Money?

The discussion about that Adams and Washington work to be done this summer and the trees vs trail has been a good discussion about what to maintain and when.  Anybody who travels those two roads know that they are in dire need of upgrades.  The only problem we see is the adding of that trail and how the money is somehow not ours and we are getting a deal?  and if we don't us it we will lose it?  

We are in favor of making it a better thoroughfare and look forward to the completion date.  There is another issue that is disturbing and seems to always come from our politicians.   Grant money not being ours in the first place.  Please read this article we noticed  in the Dassel-Cokato Enterprise Dispatch newspaper from Ivan Raconteur and his Curmudgeon's Corner.
